My name is Kama.  I am one of the owners/trainers at Club-Doggie in Arizona.  I train agility, herding, and tricks from beginning to competition levels.

I started agility at 17 (going on 18).  So, I had one amazing year as a junior handler that culminated in me being able to run in the Finals ring, under the lights, with the bleachers full of people at my very first USDAA Cynosport World Games with my first agility dog, Crash.

After that first year, Crash and I went to the Grand Prix semi-finals round two years in a row at the USDAA Cynosport World Games and the Steeplechase semi-finals round once.  Crash (now 12), is spending his retirement learning new “just for fun” tricks.

My second agility dog, Nitro, was invited to be the Demo Dog at the 2012 FCI World Team Try-Outs in May 2012. Unfortunately, I had to decline after Nitro was forced into early retirement when his veterinarian diagnosed him with a genetic spinal disease called IVDD.  He is now 8, and loves getting to be “just a dog”.

While preparing my latest dog, Google, for his future in agility, I also actively pursue assignments in the entertainment industry for my dogs (including Penelope, my severely dysplastic 5 year old Border Collie, and Polly Pocket, my 1 year old Chihuahua) in conjunction with the newest company I have started, Arizona Animal Actors.  I have successfully booked and worked with clients ranging from Taco Time to PetSmart!

In 2013, I had my biggest year yet for agility.  I qualified and ran at the 2013 USDAA Cynosport World Games in Tennessee with Squeeky, my brother’s 10 year old Border Collie trained and previously handled by my mom.  We qualified for ALL THREE FINALS, earning 4th in the Performance Grand Prix Finals, 4th in the Performance Versatility Pairs Relay Finals AND Overall, and 8th in the Performance Speed Jumping Finals!  Squeeky is now retired.

In 2014, I took my mom’s young Border Collie, Gumby, to the World Team try-outs.  I was very fortunate to attend such an incredible event with such a wonderful dog.

Currently, I have still hijacked Gumby from my mom and will be attending the World Team try-outs again for 2015.  Wish us luck!
